Still more pictures

This is a look at the tub and tile in the public bathroom. As you are standing in the hallway looking south you see from right to left - door to the peach, carpeted bedroom, door to the public bathroom, linen closet, former furnace closet and the door to the master (tan) bedroom.

This is a look at the two sink vanity in the public bathroom. (The white streak you see on the right of the photo is the half wall you see in the above photo that separates the toilet area from the vanity area) You can see the vanity has newer cabinets like the kitchen.

Not pictured in my photo show is the Jack and Jill bathroom. I don't recall the vanity, but the tile in the shower stall was new. Also I did not get any pictures of the large game room with wet bar, the laundry room or the doors leading from the great room to the back yard. There is also a good sized back patio that I did not get any pictures of.

A day at the salon

We all went to the salon that I go to. The three of us had 12pm appointments. Elise got called back to shampoo first.

She came strutting out of the back with a towel on her head. Everyone was talking about how funny she was getting her hair washed. She really liked it.

She sat nicely for the cut.

And even enjoyed her blow dry.

Lily had been talking about wanting to get her hair cut short. We had to book our appointments more than a month in advance so she was going back and forth about wanting her hair shoulder length. Before we went in she was talking about longer than shoulder length. But client before her and cut off a long ponytail to donate to "Locks for Love." Lily decided to do it too.

Here is a look at her hair. It is wet and the lighting is not good, so you can't see the beautiful blond color that it is.

Lily really liked getting her hair cut. She had a great time.

Putting the final touches on, a butterfly.

The girls showing off their new hair cuts.

These are pictures from the Chinese Cultural Center after a dim sum lunch.

Grand Canyon spring break - March 2007

The whole family in front of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
This is a building on the rim at the Bright Angel Lodge

On the trail at the Tusayan Museum. The girls had been having sisterly fights when we got to this stop. This picture was taken when they finally began to come together.

Some art at the Tusayan Museum. There are some artifacts in a small room at the museum, but this place is mostly a dig site. You can see outlines of where living spaces, storage spaces and gathering spaces were at one time. It is very interesting to see how the people lived years ago.

Elise and mom outside our room at Maswik lodge - a very short walk from the rim.

Learning to skate - March 2007

The girls are doing so well with their skates. It is hard to believe we survived growing up in the 70's, I mean where were our helmets, knee and elbow pads and wrist guards.

On the road home from Disneyland

First we ate our last breakfast at Storytellers Cafe with some 'friends'.

Then we hit the road - stopping to play with some dinosaurs on the way home.
