Where is Lily?

Here is another picture from our trip. Joe and Lily are riding the AstroOrbiter. But where is Lily? It really looks like Joe is just riding by himself.

Lily really likes this ride. It is similar to Dumbo, but it is more tilted and faster. I am not fond of it. Thankfully, Elise was asleep in the stroller, so I had to stay on the ground to watch her.

I must add how difficult it was to get pictures of Joe and Lily on this ride. I have tons of pictures of other rockets or the bottom of their rocket. It seems easy enough to take the picture, but it is not, trust me.

Here is Elise near the X-mas tree at DCA. It was a nice tree with Tinkerbelle at the top. There were white rocks around the bottom and Elise kept grabbing and trying t0 throw them. Elise also has a habit of not looking at the camera. It is kind of annoying, but it is just Elise. I can't tell you how many pictures of the side of her face I have.

Disneyland fun

We did have a lot of fun during this trip to Disneyland.

It is so funny what will scare a kid. Lily will ride the biggest thrill rides she is tall enough to ride. Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Tower of Terror are not a problem. But she screamed and refused to get on Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin and Buzz Lightyear. Those are rides that an infant can go on. She also would not get near Pirates of the Caribbean even when her baby sister went on it.

They really did have a ton of fun. It was great to spend the time away from work with our family.

More Disneyland

I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali

We took the kids to Southern California last week. We spent a few days at Disneyland, which is really nice at Christmas time.

My oldest Lily is taking Dad's advice and smiling nicely inside the 50th anniversary gold car at Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. My youngest Elise is screaming "cheese" at the top of her lungs.

Later we made it to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. There, they have this great pavilion containing the last Air Force One before the huge 747 they have now. It's the one that Reagan used primarily during his presidency. You can even go on it and see it for yourself.

I have an obsession

One of my favorite online games:

Orbitzgames.com Pick The Path

This started as one of those pop-under Orbitz games a summer or two ago. Then it disappeared. I emailed forever. They must've agreed.

Sean Bratcher

I was friends with Sean Bratcher from my first day in nursery school. We went to Norman Smith Elementary, Greenwood Middle and Clarksville High School together. Then I went to college and we lost track of each other, though we saw each other at Thanksgiving 1988.

Sean died in a car accident on Oct. 15, 1998. While reconnecting with old classmates for the upcoming reunion, I saw that Sean's name was still on the list, so I let folks know that he had passed. While looking for an obit or info on Sean's passing, I ran across this site:

I remember this kid from when he lived next door to Sean. I've tried to get in touch with him to let him know what happened to Sean, but I've yet to hear from him. I'll let you know what happens when I do.

Clarksville TN High School Reunion

Looks like plans for the 20-year reunion of the class of 1986 from Clarksville High School in Clarksville, TN is well underway. Lynn Hochstetler Tucker is planning the reunion and is in the process of contacting and tracking down all the fellow students. So contact her if you're interested in the reunion.
